Pet Portraits
Pet portraits are a lovely way to celebrate a beloved pet. I can do these in watercolour, acrylics or oils.
Watercolour works great on a small scale, and gives a lovely minimalistic, detailed painting. This can be seen in the first row of images.
Acrylics and oils offer more versatility in size and have a more vibrant, painterly look overall. These can be done on paper or canvas.
Dogs seem to be the most popular models, but I love painting all types of pets, whether that's a cat, guinea pig, goldfish or budgie!
Wildlife Illustrations
Miniature wildlife paintings are one of my signature styles, and I have spent years honing the skills to capture detail on such a small scale. If you or a loved one have a favourite animal that you'd like to commission a painting of, I'd be more than happy to do it for you!
These works are done in watercolour and aim to celebrate all the wonderful plants and critters we share this world with. This medium allows for crisp detail and an elegant style, much like the illustrations you find in nature books.
Paintings can be of a single species, or a collection of creatures, just get in touch with your idea and I'll be happy to discuss!
3D Moths and Butterflies
I have always been fascinated by butterfly specimens and collections you find in museums, and these are my artistic alternative!
Very similar to my wildlife illustrations, these are small scale (roughly life-size) gouache paintings which I then cut out and frame to look like real moths and butterflies. These are one of my personal favourites.
